This hands-on course with pre-fractured specimen will offer the participants the opportunity to prepare a surgical plan in small groups, from preoperative diagnostics, intraoperative positioning, surgical approaches, advanced reduction, and fixation techniques with state-of-the-art techniques in tibial plateau fractures. Highly experienced faculty will share their ideas and help participants to achieve the preoperative defined surgical plan. Course highlights: Topics: • Classification of tibial plateau fractures • Different approaches to the tibial head (lateral, medial, posterior) • Medial epicondyle osteotomy • Treatment planning strategies • Arthroscopic-assisted reduction techniques • Management of ligamentous injuries • Periprosthetic tibial head fractures • Pediatric proximal tibial fractures • Soft tissue considerations Wetlab practical exercises: 1 Open reduction and internal fixation of a bicondylar tibial plateau fracture, including epicondylectomy 2 Open reduction and internal fixation of a tibial plateau fracture with posterior involvement, utilizing a posterior approach
